Cor.:Tell us please how your songs are being born ? Sergei Dubov: With the song «Ryba» (fish) everything happened very simple. I thought it would be nice to write a song-symbol. At that time I was reading Acts and Epistles. Fish itself is a symbol. It relates the first Chirstians as well as Christians today. So, this song was born and it is quite understandable. Although a funny story happened once. A girl who was a believer came up to me and after complementing me for a long time asked why our songs were so vague and why not just tell it just like that - Jesus Christ died on the cross for us. I answered that our music is mostly for unbelievers. And as funny as it may seem, it is quite understandable for unbelievers Who we are talking about. This is the story. In general, as for writing songs, it happens instantly and spontaneously. For example, with the song "My Day". It was a sunless day, I was sitting around and thinking «I am going to write something». I came up with a tune, wrote some words and realized that it was junk. I crushed it and threw it away. Suddenly, everything happened at revelation level. I took a piece of paper and started writing without thinking about rhyme or something like that. So, I wrote the whole song. Sometimes it happens that I correct and edit some phrases and this time I left it as it was. With the song "Osoka" there was a very funny situation. There was some eastern melody and rhythm in my head. I was impressed with the song that hadn't yet existed. At night I was in the shower and thought, "We need a song about baptism". I shout out of the bathroom "Shura! Bring me some paper and a pen!" So I wrote this song. And didn't have to edit it later. «Faith Ship» is one of immediate songs too. Many songs are created or born again in the rehearsal process. For example, the song "I will rejoice" was planned to be a quiet and lyric song. I sang it to the band like that. And when we started playing it, it became very loud and cheerful and we decided to leave it like that. Sometimes it happens very interesting when we record the songs. In the end of the song we usually play a refrain or keep time to fade out. The same thing we did while recording the song "Together With Him". But Shura having sang the song sang the refrain once againg and it came up very ingenious. We leave moments like that on purpose, sometimes even mess because it brisks the music.
