	<< Back to				Cor: How and when did you make a decision to write and perform Christian music? Answer: After my conversion to Jesus Christ 1986. First I was leading the worship in church and prayergroups, later I started to write own songs for CCM. Cor: If you have a group, what is its name and why did you choose this name for it? Answer: Jonsong, since my nickname is Jonny or Jonathan. So Jonsong means simply that these are my songs. Cor: How do you write your songs? Answer: Very intuitive. First there's an idea or subject concerning the lyrics. Afterwards I start working on the chords, harmonys and the beats and loops. At the end I put it all with lots of hard work together. Cor: What does music mean to you? Answer: Not everything. I love to play and listen, but it's not my God. Cor: Who is your target audience? Answer: Concerning Jonsong people who like to listen to CCM, hopefully also folks who don't know yet how much Jesus loves them. I try to bring the message in terms understandable for people who would reject direct evangelistical attempts. Cor: Where do you give concerts? Answer: Frequent performances in my local area. No big gigs, mostly small audience. Cor: Please, tell us more about yourself, your friends, your plans for the future. Answer: 'Jonathan' Karsten Klemme, 02.06.1965, secondary school, married, first songwriting in 1986, first music group at the age of 13, I like listening to all sorts of music, also making 3D pictures on the computer, I have a few very intimate friends, who share in life with me, first of all my wife, and also I have lots of e-mail connections around the globe, my plan for the future is to get closer to Jesus and serve him with the gift of music where he sends me.
