I was born on the 28th of July 1961 in Lvov region, Striy city. I was fond of music and painting from the early childhood. I was the first voice in a choir at the age of 6. It was difficult to grow professionally as a musician at those times because my father was a pastor and he was always persecuted for we lived in the Western Ukraine. We even couldn’t study well at school because of our ideas and beliefs. There were 4 children in our family but we weren’t neither pioneers nor comsomol members. Some people even tried to debar my parents from their parental rights. But, thanks God, in such difficult conditions He gave us talents, abilities and desire to fulfill them. I’ve played the guitar since 7. As I liked this type of activity so much I was so interested in art so I studied much and learned much from the experience of other professional musicians who lived in my city. Later God revealed another talent in me – songwriting. There was a band called “Day by day” in our church. 14 years along we worked at wedding ceremonies from the early spring till late autumn. Usually 1000-1500 people were invited to Christian weddings. We traveled a lot – in Ukraine, Belarus, Moldova. We practiced a lot as well. Need in new songs appeared. Sometimes we created our songs simultaneously and people still sing these songs. In 1978 I baptized. In 1990 my best friend came to God, he is a professional guitarist – Stepan Vasilishin. I learned a lot from his experience. He worked for many musical bands in Ukraine. Nowadays Stepan Vasislishin is famous as a studio guitarist in Ukrainian music circles. In 1991 he and I created a band called «The Narrow Path». We played together: I played the bass-guitar, and Stepan played the secvensor and the guitar. We recorded many songs together. In 1991 we organized the first festival of Christian music in Kishenev, about 40 bands and singers took part in it. In 1999 I recorded my first album «Three eternal strings». Today I travel and do my gospel ministry very often. I work a lot in children’s camps and camps for youth in Moldova. I have musical ministry in the church «Light for the world» in Kishenev city, Moldova, and in the Christian charity rehabilitation organization for children-orphans. In 2002 we are going to release a new album «On the other bank», it’s going to be ready by the New Year Day.
