In summer 1992, in the town of Tver' a band came to Chirst. It came to Chirst by parts: the first one was Mr.Dubov and Mr. Ivanov, and in a couple of weeks Mr. Kalinov joined them. As the euphoria of being new believers, the friends started thinking about serving Christ instead of terrifying their unbeliever friends with the change of their image and the way of thinking. As far as the past was over, they couldn't go back to their music with pleasure that's why they directed their creativity for something new. After long and painful, nevertheless useful months, a new Christian group with the name "Dynamite" was born. You could tell a lot about this project. To cut the long story short, it appeared in the days when Dubov, Ivanov and Kalinov learned how to listen to pastor, to love their neighbor and to work with the sound. In 1995, when a new solist and a new keybord player came to the band, a new group with the name of "Korni" was born. After several mixed and solo concerts it became obvious that this band will have promising future. Soon, there appeared their debut album "Ryba" (fish) that became very popular with young people, both with believers and unbelievers. The new audience ment new possibilities for preaching the gospel. Moreover, there were many unbelievers coming to their concerts. The main aim of the group is to tell people about God and this is what the band does with its music. All songs by "Korni" are deeply symbolic and, at the same time, quite understandable; each person can recognize himself or herself in those. They tell about personal experience of a person searching and waiting for God, and that God gives love instead of hurt and fear and how God's love changes everything around. Very often, the songs are born while reading the Bible and this even increased the symbolic and emotional context. In time, there added many new songs to the "Ryba" album and it led to creating their second album. This album with the title "Isaiah" became very popular as well and was sold in the first three months. The third album, "Bride", contains worship songs written by the musicians from the band. Later on, there appeared a new solo album by Sergei Dubov (the leader of "Korni") with the title "The Streets of Heaven". This album is recorded with the help of computer technologies and, despite the fact that it is quite different from the style of the band, it blends with the works of the band. Today, "Korni" are working on a new concert program and think about recording a new album. THE group is: Dubov Sergei - guitars; Zhuravleva Alexandra - vocal; Maxim Kalinov - basist; Ivanov Ilya - drums; Anosov Ilya - keyboard; Argenov Pavel - flutes.
