We, scientist of the Academy of sciences of Ukraine, protest against homosexuality, lesbianism, pedophilia and consider this to be an ugly phenomenon of the modern society. To practice these sins means to seriously challenge God, Who hates these sins and calls them an abomination as it is written in the Bible: ”You shall not lie with a male as one lies with a female; it is an abomination. Do not defile yourselves by any of these things… 'For whoever does any of these abominations, those persons who do so shall be cut off from among their people” (Leviticus 18: 22,29). People should seriously take God’s warnings about the destruction of our civilization like it happened to the ancient Sodom and Gomorra for dissolute lifestyle.

The Lord created a man and a woman as united integer, complementing each other and meant for them heterosexual love to continue generations. However nowadays there are many attempts through the media to convince the society that sexual orientation is conditioned genetically and cannot be changed. Even the idea about existence of "gay - a gene” is brought forth. Praise God, it does not have a scientific acknowledgement. Persons who would like to get rid of homosexual dependency, get real deliverance as they come to the Lord or to a Christian psychiatrist. It proves that people are not born gays but they become homosexuals because of the sin and amoral lifestyle.

Spread of the homosexuality inflicts a big harm to our society. According to the statistics, persons involved into homosexual practice are much more the subjects to different diseases such as AIDS, psychic illnesses and psychotropic dependencies. So our society should actively protest against the spread of sexual perversions and accuse these disgraceful phenomena.

Gay-supportive policy is antagonistic to our society since it brings about the numerical reduction of the population of the country for homosexual couples do not give the posterity. It speaks of the spiritual crisis of mankind, which needs to get back the lost Christian values and stop moral degradation of the modern society.

We challenge homosexuals, priests who marry homosexual couples and all those who support these practices to repent. The Lord is calling us to do so in His Word: "Therefore having overlooked the times of ignorance, God is now declaring to men that all everywhere should repent, because He has fixed a day in which He will judge the world in righteousness…" (Acts 17:30,31).
