Beloved brothers and sisters!
Beloved brothers and sisters! For the first time in the CIS, there is a hit-parade of Christian groups and singers - and you can participate in it! Every week the last three songs will leave our Top 10, and we at Association "Emmanuel" will select three new ones to take their place. At the end of the year the group or vocalist who stays in our Top 10 for the longest time will be awarded valuable prizes.

For Authors and Performers of Christian Songs

The Best Christian Songs in the Internet

We want to introduce to visitors of our Web site a music section with a collection of the best Christian songs. It will contain the following: "Hit Parade," "Music for You," "Discovering Talents," and "Children's Album." We wish to give Internet users an opportunity to listen to Christian songs, follow a Christian Music "Top 10" list, and to vote for the best of the songs there. Our site is primarily designed for unbelievers who know nothing about Christian culture (music, cinema, theater, etc.).
If you want to make your work known to many people, you can publish computer versions of your songs and lyrics on our site for free. To protect your copyright we publish music on our site only in compressed form (ratios from 1:10 to 1:30 using the MP3 method with some loss of quality, corresponding to a 14-32 KHz sampling rate). In order to publish your materials we need to receive from you the following:
1) At least three songs whose copyright belongs to you, which are appropriate for our evangelization project both in content and quality. Desired formats are CD, CD-ROM, minidisk, or DAT cassette (we can return materials to you).
2) Lyrics of these songs, preferably in a computer-readable file.
3) If these songs are part of an album, information about the album(s).
4) Information about the artists, preferably in a file. Volume of this information should not exceed one double-spaced page, font Times New Roman 12.
5) Pictures of the group/performer, size 9x12 cm.
6) If possible, testimonies describing the events and feelings that prompted the creation of these songs. These testimonies should be of an evangelistic character.
7) Interview with the artist(s), preferably in a file, which should not exceed 10 pages. This interview is best composed in correspondence with questions from Appendix 1 (below).
8) Covers of audio and video albums that you want to present at our Web site.
9) Contact information for studios where your songs were recorded and firms that distribute your records (we will get permission from these firms/studios before publishing this information on our site).
Diskettes and album covers will be left at our disposal for future reviews and reference (in some cases return is possible at the expense of the owner). We need to have good knowledge of what we present because we are responsible for all information presented at our Web site.
If you agree to give us this information we will sign a contract with you where your copyright will be protected and other aspects of our cooperation will be taken into account.

Appendix 1. Questions for an Interview

1. How and when did you make a decision to write and perform Christian music?
2. If you have a group, what is its name and why did you choose this name for it?
3. How do you write your songs?
4. What does music mean to you?
5. Who is your target audience?
6. Where do you give concerts?
7. Tell us more about yourself/your group: first name and last name, date of birth, education, marital status, the history of your creativity, your hobbies, your friends, your plans for the future.
8. Share with us wonderful testimonies of what God has done in your life.
